The President Of The Republic Portugal, Marcelo Put Into Effect By Official Announcement : Art 123 Will End And All Who Live And Work In Portugal Will Be Documented By Artº 88º.
The diploma that simplifies the access to the visa of residence of the immigrants without authorization, but with 12 months of social security (tax) has been put into effect by Official Proclamation, indicates the page of the Presidency of the Republic.
The law amends the regime of entry, stay, departure and removal of foreigners from the national territory and was approved in parliament on February 22, with the favorable votes of PS, PCP, BE and PAN, and against PSD and CDS-PP.
Art 123º will end when this amendment of the Law is published. All will be regulated by Article 88. With or without legal entry.
The law establishes that undocumented aliens with at least 12 months of socail security ( tax) are presumed to have entered the country legally.
Undocumented immigrants will see their residence visa simplified, provided they have already deducted at least one year for Social Security, without going through the temporary visa application until the resolution of their lawsuit.
