The number of deaths by coronavirus increased again in Portugal . This Sunday there are two more fatalities , totaling 1530 deaths. There are 39133 people infected with covid-19, plus 292 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the bulletin released by the DGS, 1826 people are still awaiting laboratory results. The number of people recovered increased to 25,376 , 470 more than this Saturday.
The Northern Region remains the most affected by the pandemic, with a total of 17,249 infected and 814 killed . This is followed by the Greater Lisbon region , with 16762 infected and 436 deaths from coronavirus . The Center region accounts for 3991 cases of infection and 248 fatalities.
This number is followed by the Algarve , with 521 infected and 15 dead and the Alentejo area with 374 infected and two deaths to be recorded.
In the Azores archipelago, there are 144 infected and 15 killed by coronavirus . In Madeira there are 92 confirmed cases , without counting fatalities.
The number of hospitalized patients is 407 . The number of patients in the Intensive Care Unit is now 69.
The DGS also records 30855 contacts surveillance by health authorities. Of the total infected , 22007 are women and 17126 are men .
The number of deaths continues to be higher in women: 770 deaths are registered . 760 men died from the virus.
The most frequent symptom of the patient with covid-19 is cough (38%), followed by fever (28%), muscle pain (21%), headache (20%), generalized weakness (15%) and finally, the breathing difficulties (11%).
