A Filipino maid in Kuwait was rescued after she was beaten by her employer’s brother. In a Facebook post, the domestic worker named Vivian Perez said she was beaten by her employer’s brother on May 25 and sustained multiple cuts and bruises on her face.
Perez admitted she had cursed the brother. While being criticized by her employer’s brother, she talked back and was then beaten by him. According to photos widely-circulated on social media, there were multiple cuts and bruises on Perez’s face and eyes.
Deputy administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Arnell Ignacio said in a Facebook post that Perez had been rescued and was now in the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait. (Source: AsiaTimes)
