British counterterrorism police detained a 21-year-old man suspected of preparing a terrorist act.
The suspect was arrested this Saturday morning at a residence in east London.
Police said the suspect was being questioned on suspicions of “ordering, preparing or instigating acts of terrorism.” The residence where he was detained is being searched, he added.
The detained man has not been identified and has so far not been formally charged.
