The Nepalis who were taken to the hospital had been suffering from fever for more than a week. He has been suffering from respiratory problems for the last 2-3 days. When he contacted SNS24 today, an ambulance came to his house and rushed him to the hospital. According to hospital sources, he has undergone corona test and the results of the lab will be available by tomorrow.

Similarly, three other Nepalis living in the same room with him did not show any symptoms, but they have been kept in quarantine for two weeks. Two Portuguese nationals who were in contact with them have also been kept in quarantine.

The hospitalized Nepalis had come to Portugal from Malta only in the first week of March, while the other three Nepalis in quarantine are understood to have come to Portugal about four months ago.
