Russia, the Czech Republic and Italy registered more than half of the new cases in Europe.
Europe last week recorded a new record of infections by the new coronavirus – 927,000 – according to data released today by the European section of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Europe recorded a 25% increase in confirmed cases during this period and was responsible for 38% of new cases worldwide.
Russia, the Czech Republic and Italy registered more than half of the new cases in Europe.
